Taking Back His Bride was entertaining. Madison Faye gives you a sweet and sexy story about a husband and wife who embark on a second chance at romance. Brooks is a blue collar type of guy. Leanna comes from money. Despite their differences, they love each other or did until someone put a wedge between them. Brooks is working hard to win back the heart of Leanna. Will they get their second chance at happiness? This book was short, steamy, intriguing and fun. It's a must read for romance lovers.
Definitely wish the storylines to both Brooks and Leanna were fleshed out more. Maybe wait out a little more on their reunion and build the suspense to make it that much sweeter. Also her dad as the villain could've been more distracting for them than it actually was. Might be weird to want a bigger villain plotline or twist, but I think it would've added that something extra that the story needs. Still a fun treat to read!
Good grief Madison your books can set a building on fire. You have such a dirty mind and I love it. It intrigues me how hot your heroes are yet they displace a sweetness that is so gentle towards the heroines. Brooks was no different although he was smoking hot he was not ashamed to constantly tell and show Leanna how much he loved her. There is always something hot about a man who shows is softer side. I liked that in this story there wasn’t that annoying back and forth game playing that takes place in so many romance books. Yea Brooks and Leanna. I will never tire of your books so keep them coming.
I enjoyed this book, however..
A) I think it would have been nice to get more of a prologue, for example go back to the 18 months prior when they lost eachother. Then fast forward to how the book actually began.
B) Dont get me wrong, I LOVE Madisons books. I think this is the 14th one I've read? But the pillow talk in each of them is exactly the same, and way too repetitive. Reading the words "come for me, come for my fat c*%k, f&@k me like I'm yours, you ARE mine" sooo many times per book just makes me cringe now. It's to a point where I have to skip past the dirty talk and enjoy reading what they're doing instead. I'm never gonna stop reading her books though, the story behind each of them is total and utter PERFECTION. Dirty talk just needs some work.

This book was short, sexy, sweet and to the point!
Since I've been reading a lot of romantic suspense lately, I was looking for something short with a sexy, possessive alpha. I totally found that with Taking Back His Bride. Just be warned there is no substance to this book other than a man obsessed with getting back his wife and a whole lot of dirt. But it was just what I needed at the time.

Because Brooks has been overseas on a drilling rig he could do nothing when he got the news that his beautiful wife, Leanna, divorced him. After a year goes by and Brooks had made a fortune, he comes back for his wife. Of course when he finds her, and all is revealed, and much manipulation and deceit are the culprits. I won't give details because like I said, this book is a super quick read. But I will say that while this book contains a dirty talking, possessive alpha, I thought Brooks was so sweet too.

I do wish we got to see Leanna and Brooks when they met and married instead of jumping three years but still, a good book.

Steamy a quick read. Another hot hit from this author. She is the queen of hot and sexy reads, her novellas practically set my kindle on fire. Brooks is determined to get his wife back. They were separated through miscommunications and lies but he wants her back now. They both were lied to by her father in order to keep them separate. Leanne doesn’t know the lies her father told and is astonished to see Brooks a year later while out on a date. He takes them back to the beach house they shared while married and reconnect. They both find out that they still love each other and the separation only made them love each other more. I highly recommend this author and all of her books!
Just a real short story and it’s not really a story! The book is just about them having sex constantly, with no story at all. It could have been so much better with a little more imagination on Madison’s part. Wouldn’t recommend this as a good read. Happy reading!
